Cacao Ceremony, Sacred Obsidian Geometries circle and private consultations by Mary Carmen and María Teresa

One Planet – One People is pleased to introduce Abuela Mary Carmen and María Teresa as honoured wisdomkeepers during the festival at Centre Lothlorien in France, this August!
Abuela Mary Carmen and María Teresa bring to the festival ancient wisdom from Mexico. They will share with us their experience with the use of sacred tools from traditional Mexican medicine, such as the Cacao Ceremony, the Obsidian Mirror, the Obsidian Egg and the Omi. In a cacao ceremony, cacao is consumed with the intention of connecting with oneself, others, and the divine. The Obsisian Mirror is a tool used for personal therapy reading your energy represented in the Mayan calendar.  The Omi is an obsidian belly button ornament that protects and regulates energy through the navel.

A little bit about María Teresa

Mazatl (María Teresa) is a Mexican medicine woman. She thanks all she has learned to the grandmothers of the Mexica tradition. In particullary two very important ones who are dear to her heart and path.  Grandmother TezkaQuetzal is the one who trained her in healing with the obsidian egg, the omi (obsidian belly button ornament) and in working with elementals.
Grandmother Tlazoxiuhpapalotl is the one who has allowed her the honor of being her zihucoatl (secretary of service) and fire eagle in the Temazcal. Co-founder of the Itzpapalotl Women’s Collective in Tepoztlán, Mexico.
“Based on my own experience and healing, it’s an honor to share the medicine of the obsidian egg and feminine knowledge in this gathering of women, for those of us who seek to reconnect and strengthen our feminine lineage, to the ancient memory of the creative woman capable of healing herself through conscious medicine, the exchange of knowledge, creativity, love, and empowerment.”

About the Sacred Obsidian Geometries circle

In this medicine circle María Teresa will share an introduction to the obsidian egg and its connection and healing with feminine energy. Though it connects with feminine energy also men can gain a deeper understanding of the duality and processes of feminine energy, which also resides within them. In this circle María Teresa will integrate the methodology of the obsidian geometry called Omi, which is applicable to both men and women. The omi protects and regulates one of our main channels; the navel.

About the cacao ceremony

Cacao ceremony is becoming a trend. This is however a sacred traditional ceremony that is only to be performed by initiated healers and for specific intentions.
In the cacao ceremony a ceremonial-grade cacao is consumed with the intention of connecting with oneself, others, and the divine. As such It’s a ritual that fosters introspection, emotional healing, and a sense of community. The ceremony will follow the following program:
  • TLALMANALLI (opening paths, permission, and offering)
  • Cacao preparation, prayers and songs
  • EYE THERAPY (Melipona Honey)
  • Ceremony closure
