Music at the One Planet – One People Yogafestival
One Planet – One People presents a broad program, with not just yoga, ceremonies and talks, but also music. The music is international, as it has it’s origins from France, The Netherlands, India and Mexico. Our musicians will give concerts in the evening, but will also set the atmosphere in the afternoon.
A little bit about Varshita Ramesh
Varshita Ramesh is a young and dynamic vocalist, songwriter, and bandleader from Bangalore, India, known for her magnetic stage presence and genre-blending sound. At One People One Planet, she strips it back in an intimate acoustic duo (accompanied by Dutch guitarist Lukas Kuipers) delivering raw, emotional storytelling through R&B, soul, and jazz. You’ll also get a taste of Bombay Noir – her bold new Rotterdam based Bollywood-jazz project that fuses vintage glamour with irresistible grooves.
A little bit about Altobel
Altobel is Mexican musician from the Huicholes. In 2017, he also attended the One Planet – One People gathering. He makes mexican folklore music and sings in Spanish. His music brings joy and makes people dance!

A little bit about Nicolas Mortelmans
Nicolas Mortelmans is a passionate sitar player and multi-instrumentalist from Antwerp, Belgium. Nicolas is a fusion sitarist and student of Indian classical music. He studied the traditional way with several sitar masters in India and since 2017 he has been trained by the world-renowned Anoushka Shankar.
A little bit about Alexandre Doizenet
Alexandre Doizenet is a French musician-singer. He gives solo performance and combines guitar, accordeon and voice. He mainly performs French chansons and uses technically autonomous performance.

A little bit about de Tegenbeweging
De Tegenbeweging (The Counter Movement) is a music band from Haarlem, The Netherlands. They are a young group and will surprise the audience with their performance.
What to expect during the festival?
Both Varshita and Altobel will perform on Monday evening and Tuesday afternoon
Nicolas will perform tuesday evening and wednesday afternoon
Alexandre will perform thursday evening
The Tegenbeweging will perform several times in the afternoon and on friday evening.
